Security guards are generally employed in large organizations to provide security companies premises, such as office buildings and retail stores. Private Security Guard Training and Qualifications
The training requirements for security guards is generally minimal and any potential guards must be able to pass a criminal background check and a drug test. A background check includes checking any prior convictions or arrests. It is also advisable to consider whether the company that you’re applying for the job with allows firearms on company premises or not.
When it comes to the physical requirements for the job, candidates may be required to be at least 5’5” tall, and weigh in at a minimum of 160 pounds. It is advisable to consider getting trained and certified in CPR, first aid and other lifesaving skills to be prepared if required to provide medical assistance.
